At 83, Tom Jones proved that he could still hit high notes and complete his concerts smoothly despite suffering from different health issues in the past.

Jones marks his 60th anniversary this year since he started his career as a musician. Although he is now 83, the "Delilah" hitmaker performed at his recent concert as if he was still in his 30s.

Tom Jones Meets Fans at Greenwich Summer Sounds

On Thursday, Jones joined other musicians who also performed at the Greenwich Summer Sounds 2023 at the Old Royal Naval College, including The Black Eyed Peas and the Kaiser Chiefs. His appearance followed his June performance at the Hampton Court Festival and intimate show at the Shepherd's Bush Empire.

As noted by Express UK, the "Green Green Grass of Home" hitmaker still has "powerful vocals that made him a star," performing some of his hits like "What's New Pussycat," "It's Not Unusual," "Sex Bomb," and "You Can Leave Your Hat On."

He also performed covers from his latest No. 1 album, "Surrounded By Time," which also made him the oldest male singer to achieve the feat in the album chart history.

Following his performance, fans applauded Jones and his unmatched talent as they showered him with compliments after hearing his powerful voice again.

One said, "Saw Tom Jones tonight and absolutely loved it. What a man, what a voice, what a band and what a life. He even played a couple of Dylan songs that I've not even heard Bob do yet in 35 times of seeing him."

Tom Jones' Health Issues Explored

Jones still got his voice despite enduring several health issues in the past.

Only months before his Greenwich Summer Sounds performance, the "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" singer sparked concerns when he was spotted using a cane to assist himself during his American tour, particularly at The YouTube Theatre in California.

The Mirror also noted that he also used it for support several times while serving as "The Voice UK" coach, though it clarified that it might be a precautionary following his second hip replacement surgery.

For what it's worth, he revealed in the series that he got a new hip five years after he had his left hip done. Though he could recover quickly with painkillers, Jones reportedly refused as he would rather "not take them."

Although his body has been affected by different issues, he assured his fans that there has been no problem with his voice.
