Britney Spears was locked in a conservatorship by her own father for a little over a decade, and for all those years, she lived in silence and fear-but she is now about to reclaim her voice and reveal her truth.

"Okay, guys, so my book is coming out very, very soon," the "Toxic" singer told her fans in a video uploaded on Instagram. "I worked my ass off for this book. I had a lot of therapy to get this book done, so you guys better like it. And if you don't like it, that's fine, too."

The title of her highly anticipated memoir is "The Woman in Me," and it will go through her life before, during, and after the conservatorship. It will be out on Oct. 24.

Britney Spears' Mental Health

One of the things her fans have worried about time and time again after she was freed from her conservatorship is Spears' mental health.

Many speculations and allegations about her mental state deteriorating have bobbed in and out of the Internet, especially with each and every Instagram post.

Spears herself has spoken about the allegations and addressed the fans' worries: "There's obviously a lot of people who don't wish me well!!!"

According to Page Six's source, "Nobody outside the very small conservatorship circle knows what Britney's medical status really is," which is why her fans are always extra vigilant and going out of their way to make sure she is alright.

"If people knew Britney's actual medical status, I think it would reveal that her mental problems are far more severe than people realize," the source continued.

"Regardless of her mental condition, it isn't necessarily appropriate for her to be under a conservatorship. There are less harsh ways to handle it."

Britney Spears' Memoir 'The Woman in Me'

Interesting and intriguing are two words that fans can say about the forthcoming memoir, but Spears' publishers have more to say about it.

Gallery Books call the memoir "a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope."

"Britney's compelling testimony in open court shook the world, changed laws, and showed her inspiring strength and bravery," said Jennifer Bergstrom, the senior vice-president and publisher of Gallery Books.
