Jessica Simpson was one of the main pop girls in the late 90s to early 2000s, but after having a family and rebranding herself as a fashion mogul, she left her music career behind.

Thirteen years later, the singer turned fashion mogul is reconsidering her life path and career options.

She admitted that her time off from the industry might prove to be a little difficult for her to adjust to the different and more dynamic landscape, "I'm doing this as a mother now, as a wife. I was a wife last time, but this is a very different marriage. And they've never seen me [perform]."

Simpson is referring to her children, Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie Mae, who were born long after her music career halted.

Jessica Simpson Wants to Reboot Music Career?

Apparently, Simpson is keen on rebooting her music career for a while now. She has been visiting Nashville more and more in recent months, and in fact, she is planning to permanently move.

Although aside from gravitating toward her musical roots, Simpson also added that the decision was fueled by her children's growing interest in music.

"I have my daughter taking a private plane with North West to go see Katy Perry in Vegas," Simpson explained to Bustle. "And inside I'm like, 'She was supposed to see me first.' Then I'm like, 'This is not competitive, Jessica."

"'Let your daughter enjoy Katy Perry.' But there's moments that make me want to do it - for them to see that color of me."

The New Jessica Simpson

Despite being away from music and pursuing several different career paths since then, Simpson has maintained a part of herself through all of her different eras.

"I'm still that person," she continued. "Honestly, if Eric told me I had to do all the laundry, I would still throw it over the banister and throw a hissy fit." Ha, same, girl!"

She also starred in "Newlyweds," alongside her ex-husband Nick Lachey; now she has a book published titled "Open Book."

Simpson also just happened to celebrate her 43rd birthday, showing off her bare face, and natural beauty.

"43 makeup free (kinda. Ha. I did curl my lashes)," the "Irresistible" singer wrote in the caption.

On top of changing her lifestyle, the singer also thinks she can get back on the wagon with music now that her children are bigger, and she does not have plans to have another one.
