At 56 years old, Irish singer and musician Sinead O'Connor passed away after a long battle with mental health struggles.

Notably, O'Connor's death comes after her own son died of suicide. Sinead O Connor's death seemed to be also foreshadowed by her recent cryptic tweets.

Sinead O'Connor Cause of Death Foreshadowed?

The Daily Mail confirmed Sinead O'Connor's death. At 56 years old, the Irish star's cause of death was attributed to her long battles with her own mental health.

As of this writing, the details of Sinead O'Connor's death have not yet been fully revealed to the media and the public.

However, the outlet seemed to suggest that Sinead O'Connor's death was foreshadowed by a memorial tribute she shared in commemoration of her son Shane's death.

Replying to a quote on Twitter, Sinead O'Connor shared that she lost her son to suicide in 2022.

"Been living as undead night creature since. He was the love of my life, the lamp of my soul. We were one soul in two halves. He was the only person who ever loved me unconditionally. I am lost in the bardo without him," she tweeted, along with a photo of her and her then-young child Shane lovingly hugging each other.

Sinead O'Connor Abused Since Childhood

The Daily Mail added that Sinead O'Connor's childhood was a tough one as she was born into a "troubled family."

Unbeknownst to many, Sinead O'Connor was physically and sexually abused as a child by her mother. She went on to live with her father and stepmother. At a tender age, she learned how to shoplift and be an absent student, which landed her in an asylum where she discovered her talents in music. At 18, her mother passed away because of a car accident.

Sinead O'Connor Mental Health Condition

In 2007, Sinead O'Connor's mental health condition was publicized. She revealed to Oprah that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. In the years that came, she was also diagnosed with complex post-traumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder.

In January 2022, O'Connor was put on suicide watch after she published a series of worrying tweets indicative that she was going to hurt and kill herself. She was eventually hospitalized for it.
