Sinead O'Connor's health seemingly deteriorated following the sudden death of her son and she was recently rushed to a hospital a few days later.

O'Connor first shared the news that she was going to the hospital on Thursday in a since-deleted tweet. She alarmed her fans and followers by saying she decided to follow her son who had recently died by suicide.

"There is no point living without him. Everything I touch, I ruin. I only stayed for him. And now he's gone. I've destroyed my family. My kids don't want to know me," the 55-year-old said.

The "Nothing Compares 2 U" hitmaker then made a follow-up tweet, saying that she should have not said those things before confirming she was with the police on her way to the hospital. Although she pulled herself together again, she pledged to find her son again after seeking help in a hospital.

In another tweet, O'Connor heartbreakingly shared that her son's social workers were advised not to talk to her after the incident.

She has been open about her mental health issues and suicidal instances long before her 17-year-old son took his life. With her son's passing, her struggles worsened as she continues to mourn.

What Happened to Sinead O'Connor's Son?

Last week, Sinead O'Connor's 17-year-old son Shane went missing, prompting the authorities to launch an investigation to find his location. He was reportedly last seen alive in the Tallaght, Dublin 24 area on Friday.

O'Connor had continuously shared tweets for her son on the days he was missing. She also pleaded with him not to take his life and harm himself. But in the end, recovered his body in the Bray area.

Following the development, the singer slammed the Irish authorities for failing to guard her son who was actually on suicide watch.

"26 hours after my son died in so the so called care of the Irish State in the form of Tusla, I have yet to receive any contact from Tusla or their representatives. I was informed by Gardai of my son's death and later I spoke with the GAL. No contact from Tusla is unacceptable," she went on.
