Rick Astley has been a renowned name in the music industry for decades now that's why when he started a family and had a daughter of his own, many would assume that his only child would follow in his footsteps, but everyone was wrong.
According to Home News Here, the singer only has one child named Emilie Astley, born in 1991, whom he shares with his wife Lene Bausager.
Since his daughter grew up with a father that is very rich, successful, and famous, many people thought she was spoiled with fortune, but her dad begs to differ.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, the "Never Gonna Give You Up" hitmaker said: "She's in no way spoilt and has never taken anything for granted."

Rick Astley Daughter Not Following in His Footsteps
Elsewhere in the interview, the musician said his daughter was able to learn a thing or two from music as she was also a drummer and a singer.
However, despite her talents, Emilie decided to take a completely different path and Rick said he was relieved his daughter didn't follow in his footsteps in the music industry.
Although the singer clarified that if his kid decided to take the musical path, he would've supported her.

Speaking about the success of Emilie as a gardener, he said, "She found her own way. She doesn't use my last name and is very careful about nepotism. When one of your parents is famous, I think a lot of people raise and eyebrow and say that's why you are successful, but I can't really help her with the gardening world."
Emilie Astley is now thriving in the field of gardening as she now has her own company. She also became one of the exhibitors at the popular Chelsea Flower Show in London, United Kingdom, this year and his dad was very proud of her.

The singer told Sydney Morning Herald that he fell in love the day that they met but they didn't start dating until 1989.
Although they had Emilie in 1992, the pair got married in 2003.
