The Global Citizen music festival is right around the corner, and they just added several more performers to their already star-studded lineup.

The music festival is bringing the word "global" to the next level with its final lineup by bringing performers from Brazil, South Korea, and other countries.

According to reports, Anitta and Sofia Carson are set to join Megan Thee Stallion, Lauryn Hill, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Conan Gray, and KPOP group Stray Kids at the highly anticipated event.

Global Citizen not only values high-caliber performers, they also give much priority to their cause. These artists have spoken about their personal experiences as being a citizen in the modern world and how it affects their daily life.

Aside from the performers, the Global Citizen Festival will also include some personalities who are dedicated to addressing global poverty like Bill Nye, Busy Philipps, Carmelo Anthony, Gayle King, Common, Sophia Bush, Jordan Fisher, Padma Lakshmi, Phoebe Gates, and more.

Global Citizen Festival 2023

This year's Global Citizen Festival campaign is focused on urging world leaders to take notice and action to address extreme poverty around the world.

The artists included in the lineup are passionate and advocates of the said cause, which is why they were invited to perform at the music festival.

"We're thrilled to join forces with these passionate artists and advocates to call for urgent action to address the climate crisis, demand equity for women and girls and disrupt the cycles holding people in extreme poverty," said Katie Hill, the head of music, entertainment, and artist relations of Global Citizen.

"This year's campaign is driving a record number of actions from global citizens around the world, and we're grateful to this year's performers and presenters for leveraging their voices and joining us on the Great Lawn on September 23."
