The Latin Recording Academy has officially named the honorees for the 2023 "Leading Ladies of Entertainment."

They have notably made significant contributions and inspired the next generation of Latin female leaders.

Leading Ladies of Entertainment 2023 Honorees

Unbeknownst to many, the Latin Recording Academy spearheaded the initiative of honoring "professional and socially-conscious women" in the arts and Latin entertainment.

Latin Recording Academy CEO Manuel Abud shared a statement about the recent honorees.

"This diverse group of outstanding and successful women have made great contributions to Latin music. We are proud to celebrate them with this and other initiatives that seek to promote gender parity and honor the important role women play in the entertainment industry."

Now, the Latin Recording Academy has named this year's honorees.

Róndine Alcalá

Known for owning Rondene PR, Alcala worked as the senior publicist for Latino superstars like Enrique Iglesias, Alejandro Sanz, Robi Draco Rosa, and even Shakira. She has also worked with Soraya, Juan Luis Guerra, Luis Fonsi, and even Ricky Martin.

Mon Laferte

The Latin Grammy-winning singer-songwriter is being recognized for her impact on Latin music and Latin artistry.

Simone Torres

The Grammy-nominated engineer and vocal producer has worked with various Latinas like Camila Cabello, Becky G, Anitta, and even Cardi B. She also helped in producing Normani's hit song "Motivation," and Cardi B's "I Like It."

Ana Villacorta Lopez

The industry executive worked as the EMI Director of International Development in Spain and even became the Regional Marketing Director of the music publishing company when it came to Mexico. She is also known for helping artists like Thalia, Tony Bennett, One Direction, and even Julio Iglesias, among many others.

Leading Ladies of Entertainment 2023 Details

According to Variety, the "Leading Ladies of Entertainment" has partnered with the global nonprofit She Is The Music, which aims to increase the number of women working in music. They are also partnering with the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation.

The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation also launched a collaborative mentorship program which recruits former Leading Ladies honorees to become a mentor for She Is The Music mentees.

The Latin GRAMMY "Leading Ladies of Entertainment" luncheon will be taking place on Nov. 13, 2023, in Sevilla (Andalusia), Spain, as the actual Latin Grammy Awards will be held on Nov. 16, three days later.
