13 years ago, the world was introduced to One Direction, and they went on to become one of the biggest boybands the world has ever seen.
Since they took on an indefinite hiatus in 2016, Directioners, their loyal fans, have been asking for crumbs that would probably put the band together again. Now, X-Factor UK uploaded a new video featuring unseen footage of the boy band.
One Direction X-Factor Unseen Footage
In an almost 30-minute featurette uploaded by X-Factor UK on Aug. 30, 2023, fans were thrilled to see more of the boys' journey during the competition, specifically on the seventh season of the UK franchise.
Unseen footage of One Direction features the boys - Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Liam Payne - topless on the beach for a photoshoot.
The footage also featured clips of them performing their iconic cover of Natalie Imburglia's 1997 hit song "Torn" for the Judge's House performance, highlighting now Grammy-winning singer Harry Styles' voice.
Some of the clips also show the boys discussing what would be the name of the band. Extended footage after the "Torn" performance was also added when the boys reflected on their performance.
At one point, Cowell interrogated them - asking if they already had a falling out. Payne confessed that they already had "bits and bobs" of arguments, Cowell said: "Yeah, you will. Trust me."
Befittingly, Payne recently received flak in 2023 after apparently airing the group's "dirty laundry" in an interview with Logan Paul, resulting in him getting flak from their dedicated fanbase.

One Direction Performs Kelly Clarkson 'My LIfe Would Suck Without You'
Unbeknownst to many, every group had to perform two songs at the judge's house.
One Direction's second song at the judge's house? Kelly Clarkson's "My Life Would Suck Without You."
Like their previous performances, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Zayn Malik would go on to take leading vocal roles while Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan took on backup vocals and harmony. Although they did not win the season and only placed third overall, they went on to become the most popular boybands of all time in the world.
Now, Harry Styles is a Grammy Award-winning singer, Horan is a "The Voice" coach, Tomlinson is a chart-topping singer and a former "X-Factor" judge, Malik is an Award-winning singer, and Payne also made strides in his solo career.
Malik left the group in 2015, and One Direction went on to take an indefinite hiatus in 2016, revealing all their plans to pursue a solo career.
