One Direction had a massive impact to their fans years ago and it's been more than half a decade since the boys released new music, but despite not hanging out with each other, it appears that the members still have love for one another as based on Liam Payne's recent post.

The singer, who became a solo artist after his time with the boy band, took to his official Instagram account to share a lengthy message for his groupmates amid the news of their song "What Makes You Beautiful" is nearing its 1 billion stream mark.

"Wow I just got told we're about to make a billion streams on wmyb! Never in the making of this song so early in our career did I think I would be looking at those numbers what an achievement boys!" he wrote.

He later noted that he's "lucky" to be sharing the amazing news with his bandmates and he's also grateful for the "amazing fanbase" every single day.

Payne then added that whenever he looks back at their achievement, he realized all the "power" they all had especially when their fanbase, popularly known as Directioners, got their back.

Regarding his feelings for his bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, he noted that he's happy for the five years they shared together as he has a "great soundtrack to life" for himself as well as other people.

"Miss you boys. Lots of love, me," he wrote.

Liam Payne Reveals One Direction Left 'Scars' on Him

The recent news comes after Liam Payne spoke with W Radio where he noted that he struggled being in the group and his time in the band had left him "scars."

He told the radio program that he was so young when his career took off and he didn't know what he signed up for after joining "The X-Factor UK."

"I've been very lucky to hold the job for that long which is great but I do think it definitely left scars on me," said. (via Mirror UK)

Elsewhere in the conversation, Payne noted that there are a lot of things to unpack before becoming famous.

Even though being in the group had a negative impact to him, the singer said he wouldn't change a thing now that he amassed what he has today.
