In response to Beyonce Knowles' claim of an improper tax bill, it appears that no mistakes were made on the assessment by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
This is according to documents obtained by Radar Online.
In this contention, filed in U.S. Tax Court on April 17, the IRS requested that Beyonce's petition be denied.
On January 18, 2023, the entertainer received a Notice of Deficiency from the IRS, declaring she owed $2.7 million for alleged unpaid taxes and penalties on two prior returns. To dispute this bill, she submitted a petition.
Beyonce reported that the IRS sought $805,850 in extra taxes and $161,170 in penalties from her for 2018. She added that for 2019, they wanted even more - a total of $1,442,747 in supposed unpaid taxes plus fees of $288,549.40.
The entertainer clarified through her legal filing that the IRS had miscalculated her figures. She asserted that they denied her deductions amounting to millions of dollars.
The (IRS) was the object of her dispute as it declined to allow a deduction of legal fees summing up to $473k and charitable contributions totaling $868k.
Furthermore, they contended that they would not permit the depreciation amounting to $3,326,103 reported on her 2019 tax returns.
To avoid paying substantial penalties - up to 20% of her underpayment of tax - the "Break My Soul" hitmaker presented a petition appealing to good faith and reason.
Yet, according to Radar Online, when they received word of it, the IRS denied "generally every allegation" in Bey's document.
The IRS's legal representative pushed for the petition's dismissal, supporting the original $2.7 million tax bill. Additionally, they maintained that there had been no mistakes in prohibiting specific donations and charitable gifts from Beyonce.

It was reported by Forbes magazine, that the Queen of R&B has chosen to file her taxes solo and not in conjunction with her husband, Jay-Z.
In light of this decision, the singer will not have to pay anything from her $2.7 million tax bill until a resolution has been reached.
No matter the outcome, Queen B will be successful.
According to Billboard, her "Renaissance" World Tour is estimated to generate $500 million in revenue.
