The nominees for the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards has already been released and 21 Savage and Cardi B topped the list.

The 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards will be taped on Oct. 3, 2023, and will be premiering on the BET Channel on Oct. 10, 2023.

2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards Nominations: Details

Based on the list released by Billboard, 21 Savage is the most nominated male artist this year with 12 nominations, including Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year, among many others.

Cardi B also received 12 nods and she's in seven categories with 21 Savage. She is nominated for Hip-Hop Artist of the Year and even Lyricist of the Year.

Drake follows with nine nominations, then Burna Boy and DJ Khaled with seven nods. J. Cole received six nominations, while Coi Leray, Jay-Z, GloRilla got five nods. Lil Uzi Vert reaped four, while Metro Boomin, Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Lil Durk, DaBaby, and Kendrick Lamar earned three nods each.

Surprisingly, Nicki Minaj, who was the last artist who topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts with a rap song, only snagged one nomination - Best Collaboration for "Princess Diana" with Ice Spice. The latter, who is arguably, the hottest hip-hop artist this year, only received two - Best Collaboration and Best Breakthrough Hip-HopArtist.
