Adele and Rich Paul are planning to have a baby, but the singer's boyfriend wants her to put her music career aside for her to focus on her health and the pregnancy.

"That's more than two months away and Rich hates the thought of her papering over the cracks until then, pushing her body to the limit and risking more of these collapses," a source told Closer Magazine.

The source also noted that Adele's Las Vegas residency extension was a point of contention for the couple.

"He's telling her money's the least of her priorities right now, and not to worry about anything except her health. If that means putting herself on bed rest, then so be it!"

Paul's worry over the "Rolling in the Deep" singer's health is not entirely unfounded, especially after her bout with sciatica.

Sciatica is a pain or weakness or even numbness and tingling in the leg. It is not a medical condition by itself, Penn Medicine notes, but it a symptom of a medical problem.

Adele, Rich Paul Wants a Baby

Adele has been very vocal about her desire to have another baby and even declared that she hopes to welcome her first child with Paul.

"I want a baby next year," the "Hello" singer said. "I have plans next year! I have plans. Imagine if I have to cancel the shows because I'm having a baby."

Likewise, Paul has also been ecstatic with the prospect of welcoming a child with Adele.

In an interview, he reflected on being a father, and how much he looks forward to being an "older dad."

"As a young dad, growing a business, it was pretty tough... But now looking as an older dad, if I was to have more kids, I'm looking forward to being a different dad," Paul said.

"You know, I have a daughter that's a junior in college so I was a very young dad, but now, different age, different time in my life, different position in my life. I'm really looking forward to being an older dad."

Adele Has to Choose Between Music and a Baby?

Now, the decision will remain: is Adele willing to stop performing for a while in order to prioritize her health and the subsequent pregnancy?

"Adele and Rich have been trying to get pregnant for a while and don't have any intention of giving up on that dream," the source added.

"But it's a concern that she's dealing with this condition, since it would be a nightmare scenario to be coping with during a pregnancy."
