What's that Lady Gaga fans? The lyric video for the pop star's first single "Applause" off of her upcoming album "ARTPOP" wasn't overblown enough for you? Admittedly, Gaga has set a pretty high standard for glam (and budgets) when it comes to music videos. Fortunately, the official video for the single debuted Monday morning, and it's probably exactly what fans were looking for.

The video is probably best summed up by tweeter and Gaga fan @mindtrappa: "I've been waiting for @ladygaga to do a video like 'Applause' for years. Pierre et Gilles meets Beetlejuice era Tim Burton. I'm obsessed."

Fans and critics are more likely to talk about what Gaga wears (or doesn't wear, to be accurate) during the shoot. Among her various states of undress: A) A recreation of her now famous photo shoot with Marina Abramovic, "dressed down" in lingerie with messy, "normal" hair. B) Back to Gaga blonde with a "Little Mermaid" shell bra and matching, seaweed-laced bikini. C) A bra seemingly made out of groping, dismembered hands, with a matching neck scarf of choking digits. Depending on who you are, Gaga either amplifies the sexiness or turns the sexiness off via a series of epileptic episodes onstage.

The moral: The "Applause" video is kind of weird. On the other hand, we should have expected as much. "ARTPOP" or Schlock-pop? Let us know below!
