Britney Spears has been known to express herself through dance videos on her Instagram. Since regaining her liberty from her controversial conservatorship, the pop princess has utilized the platform to freely share videos of her dancing in underwear.

Earlier this weekend, the daring pop star took it up a notch when she danced with sharp knives, leading fans to worry again for her well-being.

Fans were so worried they had asked police to check up on Spears, who turned out to be okay.

Britney Spears Knives Dance Video

Wearing only an orange polka-dotted bikini and white underwear, Britney shocked everyone when she graciously played with what seemed to be sharp knives in one of her videos posted earlier this week.

"I started playing in the kitchen with knives today !!! Don't worry they are NOT real knives !!! Halloween is soon !!!" she claimed at the time.

However, back then, the disclaimer that they were not real knives was not written. Fans then expressed worry on social media, with reports saying that police went to her place to do a welfare check. A day later, she assured everyone on social media that she was okay and she was just imitating Shakira.

Britney Spears Addresses Scary Knives Video

Now, in a very recent Instagram post, Britney Spears has finally spoken out about the worrying video that she posted, clarifying once and for all what it was about.

"I know I spooked everyone with the last post, but these are fake knives that my team rented from Hand Prop shop in LA. These are not real knives. No one needs to worry or call the police," she wrote in the caption of a new video where she dances again with the said knives.

Britney sported a similar outfit, now with a white top and pink underwear. She then doubled down on how she was only imitating one of her favorite performers - Shakira - who recently earned her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

Spears got hers in 2011, she was the first artist to receive the renamed award. It was previously given only as a Video Vanguard Award from 1984 to 2006.

"Cheers to us bad girls who aren't afraid to push boundaries and take risks," Spears said in the caption of her most recent video.
