Jelly Roll is currently on tour and legendary band Lynyrd Skynyrd made a special appearance at one of his concerts, but he didn't expect to receive a very special gift that made him emotional in front of thousands of fans; what was the present?

According to Taste of Country, the country star performed at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, a few days ago.

The rapper was in for the surprise as he introduced members Johnny Van Zant and Rickey Medlocke on stage before they performed the track "Simple Man" which Jelly Roll had been performing in his previous shows.

"I don't think they're the greatest southern rock band - I think they are the greatest rock band in the history of music. That's what I believe as a man that grew up in the South," he said of the group.

Medlock later praised Jelly Roll for his attitude because, despite their meeting since last year, he noted that the rapper "hasn't changed" at all.

Jelly Roll Emotional After Receiving a Special Gift

After the performance, the two band members were about to leave the stage, but they wouldn't go anywhere without giving Jelly Roll a major surprise; a guitar once owned by Gary Rossington.

The country star was visibly emotional over the gift, especially after it was revealed that the late member's family wanted to give it to Jelly Roll himself.

"I wonder how many Lynyrd Skynyrd songs was written on that guitar right there," Van Zant noted while the rapper cried in the background.

The rapper couldn't speak at all, but he was spotted mouthing "thank you" to the two legends.

The original owner of the guitar, Gary Rossington, has had health issues in the past. In October 2015, two of the band's concerts were canceled due to his medical condition as he needed to undergo an emergency surgery.

He passed away in March 2023, but the actual cause of death has not been disclosed to the public. He was 71.
