Boy band *NSYNC may have decided against a reunion as a result of Britney Spears' candid memoir, which has been rumored to be the fight of the ultimate 90s comeback.

Spears' much awaited autobiography, "The Woman in Me," which was published on October 24, made news for a variety of reasons, including her admission that her ex-boyfriend had cheated on her and that she had aborted a pregnancy she had with musician Justin Timberlake.

Similar to their popular song "bye, bye, bye," *NSYNC's much-discussed comeback might end before it even gets started.

After just one day on the market, Spears wrote on Instagram that her memoir was already the "highest selling celebrity memoir in history."

There was also narrative about Timberlake and his previous boy band, *NSYNC, in the book by the "Toxic" hitmaker.

"They were white boys, but they loved hip-hop. To me, that's what separated them from the Backstreet Boys, who seemed very consciously to position themselves as a white group," she wrote. "*NSYNC hung out with black artists. Sometimes I thought they tried too hard to fit in," she opined further

"One day [Justin] and I were in New York, going to parts of town I'd never been to before. Walking our way was a guy with a huge, blinged-out medallion. He was flanked by two giant security guards. J got all excited and said, so loud, 'Oh yeah, fo shiz, fo shiz! Ginuwiiiine! What's up, homie?'," Spears elaborated.

The Daily Mail revealed that Timberlake's former boy band *NSYNC was apparently in talks for their own comeback this year.

Better Place, *NSYNC's first song in 20 years, was released for the Trolls movie in September, sparking rumors about the band's comeback.

That same month, the band made an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards to present Taylor Swift with the Best Pop trophy. However, a source informed the Daily Mail that Timberlake is "furious" that his reputation has suffered as a result of the bad press he has been receiving. "There is nothing he can say to Britney about any of this, so Justin has not reached out to her at all, and he is not going to," the insider stated.

The source said that Justin Timberlake is extremely unhappy with what this book has revealed.

NSYNC members Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and JC Chasez have reportedly been standing behind Timberlake during the controversy, according to TMZ.

According to what Bass allegedly told the site, if Spears can forgive Timberlake, then so can the rest of the world.
