Dionne Warwick is one of the greatest living artists today. She has been considered a pillar in the music industry, especially on the R&B and adult contemporary genre.

But despite her venerated wisdom and sageful stature, Dionne Warwick confessed that she's not like other seasoned singer who gives advise to the younger generation.

Why Doesn't Dionne Warwick Give Advice To Younger Artists?

Speaking to People Magazine, Dionne Warwick casually revealed that giving advice to the younger generation isn't something she do.

"No, I don't give advice at all. I don't see the point of giving advice. Nobody takes it anyway. But I will encourage," Warwick explained. "If I'm asked a question, I have no problem answering it. But not only artists, but people generally, they have questions that they have posed to me."

According to the "That's What Friends Are For" singer, she only tries to give these younger artists what she feels is the "appropriate" answer - "that's sometimes not what they want to see or hear as an answer. But if you don't want to know, don't ask me," she added.

When pressed further who was the latest young artist she gave advice, Warwick only had this to say: "I've really not been that active lately, so I don't know the last one that I interacted with."

She was also asked if she have any favorite new artists - Warwick simply said she doesn't have any.

Dionne Warwick New Song 'Merry Mission'

Dionne Warwick is now lending her voice to Build-A-Bear Workshop's new holiday movie "Glisten and The Merry Mission."

She is playing the role of the wise elf Sage Evergreen, and she's releasing a holiday song for the film, which was written by Warwick's Grammy Award-winning son Damon Elliot.

Raving about her son's involvement in the project, Warwick explained that her son got involved in the production first before her. Talking about the material, the singer had this to say:

"When you have a fairytale such as this, the object apparently is to bring some information, some joy, happiness to those who are watching the film and the meaning of being kind to each other and being there to do the job that you are supposed to be doing. It's just being a person - a real person."

"Glisten and The Merry Mission" comes out on Nov. 3, 2023.
