Who would have thought that in the vast industry of music and entertainment, music icons Dionne Warwick and Dolly Parton's first ever meeting would have been on the filming of their newest music video - "Peace Like A River"?

Well, that's true, the two artists recently confirmed.

Surprisingly, on all the music events and awards shows the two have attended, they have never physically met.

But this doesn't mean they were not friends before this.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Warwick and Parton surprised everyone when they revealed that it was their first time meeting each other during the filming of their new music video for "Peace Like A River."

"We had spent time on the phone. We had done the FaceTime thing, and we looked at each other," Award-winning singer Dionne Warick confessed to the outlet. "but this is the first time I've had the pleasure to give her a hug."

Parton expressed her excitement on meeting Warwick for the first time, marking their meetup to be one of the most legendary ones yet.

She also gushed over the R&B and Soul queen, saying that she did not know Warwick personally except through her music, which she loved.

"She was always one of my favorites. I had all her records but I don't think I ever met her. I would've remembered had I met her, but this morning, it was like two little young-ins like, 'Hey! Hey! Hey!" Parton continued.

In the past, the two have interacted almost regularly through FaceTime and online video calls.

From the get-go, Parton knew that the two of them would jive. Clearly, the admiration for each other radiated through their first meeting. Parton explained it elsewhere in the interview.

"But I knew that I would love her because I just felt that voice. It's just kind of inside me. You know that vibe, there's a vibration that you feel when people sing. So I knew I'd love her. And it wasn't like I met a stranger. We just walked up to each other like we've always known each other," she elaborated.

Dionne Warwick and Dolly Parton's new song, "Peace Like River," is a track that has been shelved on Parton's box. The song, along with its music video, will be released today, Feb. 24, 2023.
