Dionne Warwick worried fans after her team released a statement confirming the cancelation of her upcoming concert due to a "medical incident."

The legendary singer had been gearing up to perform live at Rivers Casino Des Plaines outside Chicago on June 24 before visiting more venues and cities across the US until September. But her representative recently announced the cancelation of her upcoming show due to her health issue.

What Happened to Dionne Warwick?

The attendees of Warwick's now-canceled concert initially received an email from the event center Thursday informing them of the changes in the show.

"We regret to inform you that the Dionne Warwick performance on June 24, 2023, at Rivers Casino Des Plaines has been cancelled due to a medical incident," the statement read. "All ticket purchases will receive a full refund."

The venue expressed its gratitude to everyone for their understanding as Warwick needed time to heal.

Her spokesperson revealed to the news outlet that the singer started having issues with one of her legs on Thursday. While she wanted to push through with the show, the issue was serious enough to make the massive decision.

Warwick, however, assured everyone that she already started recuperating, though she said she needs more time to fully heal.

The 82-year-old's health issue occurred months after Teyana Taylor revealed she would play the singer's role in an upcoming biopic. The actress said during her guest appearance on "Tamron Hall" that she officially signed on to play the role, hinting at the current status of the production.

Despite her age, Warwick remains healthy and strong that she only had a few health issues over the past decades.

Before her recent medical incident, the singer was hospitalized in 2015 weeks after she slipped and fell in her shower. She reportedly underwent ankle surgery after the fall - which reportedly happened a week before Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub.

As for the secret behind Warwick's longevity, she revealed in a candid interview (via Express) that she always enjoys home-cooked meals. While she revealed that she eats what she wants to eat, she also disclosed that she has not changed her diet and does not exercise at all.

Warwick shared that keeping a positive attitude and not letting stress affect her health help her have a healthy lifestyle.
