It's been more than a year since Kelsea Ballerini and her ex-husband Morgan Evans shocked fans when their divorce was confirmed, but it appears that the female singer is ready to move on to the next chapter of her music, which revolved around her separation based on her latest EP, but before completely leaving that era of her career, she would perform an emotional song for the last time.

According to Taste of Country, the musician will be siging her song "Leave Me Again" at the 2023 CMA Awards tomorrow evening. The song is the last track in her project "Rolling Up the Welcome Mat."

She told the outlet: "The whole record is like a journey - it's like an emotional journey - and the ending, 'Leave Me Again,' is like the song that's resolution. It's closure and it's peace. And that's where I'm at in my life now."

Ballerini further added that she's excited to end this chapter of her music with that song because it feels like a "full circle" as she would close the door and open up another one.

Kelsea Ballerini, Morgan Evans Divorce

Per the outlet, the couple first met in March 2016 and more than a year later, they decided to be part of each other's lives by tying the knot.

Unfortunately, their marriage only lasted for five years and fans were surprised when Ballerini announced that they're separating in August 2022.

Following this, the musician had been romantically connected to Chase Strokes and the outlet suggested that her current relationship might be the center of her next music era.

Aside from performing at this year's award show, the country songstress is among the nominees for two categories: her EP "Rolling Up the Welcome Mat" is nominated for Album of the Year while she's one of the contenders for Female Vocalist of the Year.
