It's been weeks since Slipknot announced that they would be parting ways with their longtime drummer Jay Weinberg, and since then, people have been speculating on who would his replacement be.

According to Loudwire, fans noticed that a famed metal drummer, Jeramie Kling, recently left the band Venom Inc., and supporters think he might be the new member of Slipknot.

He shared a post on Instagram that showed the logo of the metal band with the stylized S in a black backdrop.

In the caption, he wrote: "Drumming is simply a matter of timing. Bring it to you. Invite the chaos."

Another major clue that he might be the new addition to the famous band was last week when he told his followers that a new drum kit arrived.

Eagle-eyed fans have several clues that would point out to his relation to Slipknot because he used the hashtag #im666 in the caption, which many believe to be an ode to the band's "Hereti Anthem" which contained the lyrics "If you're 555, then I'm 666."

Corey Taylor Breaks Silence Over Speculations

It appears that Jeramie Kling won't be a part of Slipknot anytime soon as lead singer and frontman Corey Taylor broke his silence about the speculations circulating all over social media.

Although he never explicitly named Kling in his post, it seems like the tweet was about him.

"To everyone wondering about our new drummer .... it's not him. Stop letting him troll you. He's not even on the list. #hesnot666," he wrote.

Jay Weinberg Departs From Slipknot

The recent news comes weeks after Slipknot announced that they would be parting ways with Jay Weinberg after he filled the position of drummer for over a decade.

They shared a statement on their official website thanking the musician for his "dedication and passion" to the band.

Weinberg reacted to the announcement by saying that he was "brokenhearted and blindsided" after receiving a phone call earlier this month which broke the news to him that he will not be a drummer of the group anymore.

Following this, he took to social media to reveal that he underwent surgery to "repair the torn labrum" on his left hip. He clarified that he immediately scheduled the operation after his last show in 2023 for him to recover over the next few months as his next concert will be in April 2024.

As of this writing, Slipknot has yet to share more details about a potential new drummer.
