IFC's Comedy Bang! Bang! - a spin-off from the popular podcast of the same name - has announced some third season guests including The Flaming Lips, The National, Future Islands, and the Vandals as well as comedy-music veterans the Lonely Island and "Weird Al" Yankovic, Pitchfork reports.

The season picks back up on October 17 with the Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne appearing on the Halloween episode in full Carrie attire. The series airs weekly and features outlandish humor with deadpan delivery, often mocking common late night tropes. As Stereogum notes, it has always been a hub for indie comedy and indie rock.

Scott Aukerman will again host the series with Reggie Watts continuing on as bandleader.

Back in March, IFC revealed that it had ordered an expanded fourth season of the show with 40 all-new half-hour episodes. This is the second time the network has doubled its episode order for the show, which aired 10 episodes its first season and grew to 20 episodes in seasons two and three.

So far, season three has featured appearances by musicians including Fred Armisen, Aimee Man, Jenny Lewis, and Josh Groban.
