  • After Latest Scandal, Is Matt Lauer the Most Disliked News Anchor in the US?

Every few years it seems Matt Lauer gets hit with some really harsh criticism as well as questions regarding his true character. The "Today" show anchor was at one point a beloved member of America's top morning news team, but his personal currency has dropped in recent years. Just this past week details in his marriage became public knowledge and once again it is making the newsman look bad. Back in 2006, Lauer's wife Annette Roque filed for divorce and claimed in the official documents to be suffering "cruel and inhumane" treatment at the hands of her husband. The divorce petition was unsealed this week, leaving Lauer wide open for public scrutiny again. Does this scandal make him the most disliked anchor in the U.S.?

  • Ice-T Likens Jumping into the Cast of 'Law & Order: SVU' to Taking Part in a Bank Robbery

Danny Pino had his work cut out for him back in 2011 when he joined the cast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." Eternal fan favorite Christopher Meloni had just departed after 12 seasons with NBC's hit show, and any actor coming in was going to find it a challenge to try and create a character as beloved as (Un)Stabler was. • Penalty Retrial Jury to Be Seated Next Week in Jodi Arias Trial as Defense Team Fights to Get Death Penalty Off the Table

Selecting a jury in the penalty retrial of convicted murderer Jodi Arias has been easier than many first anticipated. Arias was found guilty of murdering her on-again/off-again boyfriend Travis Alexander in June 2008. Arias changed her story several times while on trial, but what was clear was that stabbing Alexander 30 times, slitting his throat and then shooting the victim seemed like a display of overkill rather than self-defense. Jurors originally agreed and convicted Arias, but then the case went sideways during the first penalty phase. Some 300 potential jurors were interviewed for the second shot at a penalty phase in Arias's case, and the official panel is expected to be seated Tuesday, Oct. 21. Her defense team is fighting to get the death penalty off the table.

In this instance there was no autopsy performed and so pin pointing the exact cause of death may never be possible.
  • Experts Say a Travel Ban Won't Stop Ebola from Spreading

It seems like the CDC is rewriting its protocol and rules regarding the Ebola virus on a daily basis. In the last week, we have learned that a hospital praised for its skilled care was not given the proper tools to treat those infected with Ebola and travel restrictions seem to change constantly. Even nurses such as Amber Vinson, who was confirmed to have touched base with the CDC before hopping a plane from Dallas to Ohio and back again, was misdirected in proper procedures. All of the conflicting ideas and confusion has caused many to think a travel ban might be the obvious way to go, but expert sources disagree, saying a ban will not stop Ebola from spreading.

He was Britney Spears's right-hand man for awhile before her father stepped in and successfully gained conservatorship over her finances. Lufti has also tried to incorporate himself into the inner circles of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Jackson and Courtney Love when they were struggling to find a lifeline. Lufti has often been referred to as "shady" because those close to targeted celebrities seem to believe he is looking to take financial advantage of those who are struggling mentally. He claims, however, that he simply understands troubled celebs and wants to help them. Lufti's most recent target has been Amanda Bynes, whom he escorted into a treatment facility, and he convinced her to board that flight back to Los Angeles. That ultimately led to her current hospitalization. Lufti decided to finally address the rumors and insinuations in a letter that ran at XOJane.
