• OG Maco & Boi-1da Clash Amid Meek Mill Vs. Drake Twitter Beef

Once again, OG Maco is back causing a stir on Twitter -- this time, by chiming in on Meek Mill vs. Drake, which is already being crowned the "Twitter Beef of 2015" (and we haven't even heard from Drizzy). The ATL rapper first pledged his support for Meek, and then added a little more to the conversation. Soon, OVO producer Boi-1da got involved, and, "U Guessed It," they had a nice little back-and-forth. It's been a good day on Rap Twitter.
  • Meek Mill Responds to Toronto City Councillor Amid Drake Beef

The hip-hop world has been turned on its head when Meek Mill seemingly out of nowhere called out Drake for allegedly having people write his raps. The fallout has been seen all across the twitterverse and throughout the hip-hop community and even spilled over into politics. One Toronto city councillor, possibly just looking to take the populist approach and get a few headlines for his poll numbers, told Meek Mill that he was no longer allowed up in Toronto. Mill got word of his potential ban to the Canadian city and fired back at the Toronto government official citing his free speech.
  • 5 Best Twitter Beefs of 2015: One Direction, Iggy Azalea, Taylor Swift and More

Twitter hasn't been short on beefs for 2015, but this week has blown up the social media service as Meek Mill has called out Drake for allegedly using a ghostwriter, and Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift have gone back and forth about VMA nominations and body shape. They weren't the first musicians to stir things up with 140 characters (or several salvos of 140 characters) this year. Here are five other digital battles that have gone down during 2015 thus far, including One Direction, Iggy Azalea and...believe it or not... not Azealia Banks (we take her tweets for granted anymore).

  • Did Rick Ross Side with Drake After Meek Mill's Twitter Rant?

One of the first major rappers to respond to Meek Mill's unbelievable Twitter rant -- outing Drake for using a *gasp* ghostwriter -- was Rick Ross. Surprisingly, Rozay didn't support for the man whose Dreams Worth More Than Money just went No. 1 on his own Maybach Music Group label, but rather, with his "Aston Martin Music" collaborator. Ouch...
  • Meek Mill Talked About Rappers Using Ghostwriters Before Drake Beef

Last night Twitter blew up when Meek Mill fired cannonballs at Drake claiming that the Toronto doesn't write his own raps, notably the lines on their Dreams Worth More Than Money collab "R.I.C.O." This shocked the world that Mill would go after a friend like that, but in a new interview posted today by BBC Radio 1Xtra, this is not the first time Meek Mill has broached the topic of other rappers not writing their own rhymes.
  • Tyrese Tops Billboard 200 with 'Black Rose,' Beats Meek Mill, Taylor Swift

Tyrese may be the first musician to both star in a film with a no. 1 soundtrack ('Furious 7') and have a no. 1 album of his own in the same year ('Black Rose'). • Meek Mill and 'DWMTM' Gets Another Week as Billboard 200 Shifts Dates

It's an odd span for Nielsen and the Billboard 200, as the international (and official) album release date shifted from Tuesdays to Fridays last week. The next, regular Billboard 200 report should come next Saturday, however Billboard has tried to transition by running a report in the meantime that adds last weeks totals to the four days in-between official release dates. Music Times is trying to run things a little differently, by noting the Top 10 by actual sales during that period. Meek Mill comes out on top again.
  • Meek Mill Sells 5x as Many Records as Miguel, James Taylor on Albums Chart

Yesterday we showed during our summary of the Billboard 200 that Meek Mill and 'Dreams Worth More Than Money' sold nearly five-times as much as any other new title on the list. The same trend applies to actual album sales, where the album moved actually (not nearly) sold more than 500 percent more copies than the runner-up. The emcee stands a strong chance at joining Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar as the only performers to top the Billboard 200 for more than one week when next week's sales are revealed.
