Kevin Hart and Eniko Parrish celebrated the impending arrival of their baby boy with a lavish “Lion King” themed baby shower over the weekend. It was held at Calamigos Beach Club in Malibu.They also revealed the name of their first child together in the event and it’s Kenzo.
The 33-year-old Parrish used an Instagram filter in the name reveal. She wrote “Kenzo’s mama” on a photo in her Insta Story showing her cradling her baby bump. In another photo,she wrote “a lioness & her cub.”
Guests in the event were asked to use a Snapchat filter on their photos and videos featuring a rendering of the couple with the words “Oh, Boy! Baby Kenzo.” Hart, 38, shared a video of rapper Ludacris in the shower where their other friends played a game they called “The Pride is Right.” Later, there was a gluten-free, vegan baby food taste-testing contest where Parrish’s mom participated reports E! News.
The baby shower reportedly cost the couple an astonishing $117,855 according to TMZ. In one video, Hart joked about the amount by saying they couldn’t afford a lion so they just got a dog and just put a lion mane on it. "It's still ballin'; it's just on a budget!” Hart said.
It was just a few weeks ago when Hart found himself in the middle of an alleged sex extortion scandal. He opened up about it in a headline-making Instagram post. The alleged extortion included a “sexually provocative” video of Hart and another woman. Last September 16, the comedian shared an Instagram video where he apologized to Parrish and his children.
Sources said that while Hart was really embarrassed, Parrish was very upset. However, she is said to be still very much in love with her husband and is not ready to “throw it all away.” Same sources said that Kevin wishes that he could take what happened away and doesn’t want to lose the woman he adores. He is said to be doing everything he can gain her trust back.
The baby shower looks to be a step in the right direction. Hart has two elder children Heaven, 12, and Hendrix, 9, from his previous marriage to Torrei Hart.
