It was a historical Sunday night for Miley Cyrus' career as she won her first Grammy Award ever and she was praised for her performance of "Flowers." However, one producer of the event recently shared a conversation with the singer during her rehearsals which hinted that she almost backed out of the event.

According to Rolling Stone, there was a significant reason why the Grammy Awards didn't announce Cyrus' performance beforehand, it was because they were afraid that she will back out at the last minute.

Ben Winston spoke with the outlet to recall his conversation with the pop star during her rehearsals.

"She walked offstage and I met her backstage and I went, 'Genuinely, Miley, that was just jaw-dropping. Truly, that's gonna be an amazing moment.' And she went, 'Yeah, I think I'll do the show,'" he said.

Winston added that he looked at Cyrus as if he was going to ask if she was kidding.

"I actually think that it was more about, 'I reserve the right to pull out of this if I don't fancy it,' and that's the superstar she is, really," he added.
