Big Sean has been pretty much M.I.A. this year, but he's got big news. The Detroit rapper has officially signed with Roc Nation.

The verified Roc Nation Twitter account sent out a tweet Thursday announcing the big news.

According to Complex, Sean has signed a management deal with the brand according to Instagram. The move means Sean has severed ties with Kevin Liles' KWL Management.

Big Sean joins the likes of Meek Mill, Shakira, DJ Mustard and a slew of others.

After the big news was revealed, Sean took to social media to commemorate the deal by announcing new music to be released today. It has yet to be released.

And apparently, Sean is still keeping ties with Kanye West. "Glad to be apart [sic] of the Roc. And we still GOOD," Sean replied, confirming that in addition to his agreement with Jay Z, he'll keep his paperwork with West's G.O.O.D. Music label.

As reported by BET, Sean is currently on a mini-tour promoting his new Adidas original, the Metro Attitude. No word on when to expect another album from the rapper.

News of Big Sean signing with Roc Nation comes nearly two weeks after Wale and the label decided to split. Wale had been under the management of Roc Nation since 2009 when his debut album Attention Deficit was released.

According to The Source, the split is a mutual decision between Wale and the label, and he will be looking for a new team. He is prepping the release of his forthcoming LP The Album About Nothing.
