Billboard Women in Music honors plenty of women in the music industry this year including Charli XCX, Ice Spice, NewJeans, Victoria Monet, and Karol G, among many others.
Kylie Minogue, Tems, Young Miko, and Maren Morris, will also be among other artists who will be awarded this year.
Billboard Women in Music 2024 Honorees
Karol G will be awarded with the top honor this year as the Woman of the Year after being a force to reckon with in Latin music in the past few years. Since releasing KG0516 in 2021, she became the first female artist to top the Billboard 200 with a Spanish-language album when "Mañana Será Bonito" was released. She won the Grammy Award for Best Musica Urbana Album for the said album last 2024 Grammy Awards, her first Grammy yet.
Ice Spice is taking home the Hitmaker of the Year for her four rocking Billboard Hot 100 hits in the first few years of her mainstream success - "Boys A Liar Pt. 2" with PinkPantheress, "Princess Diana" and "Barbie World" with Nicki Minaj, and "Karma" with Taylor Swift. (via Billboard)
After taking home the Best New Artist Grammy last Sunday, Victoria Monet will also be awarded with the Rising Star of the Year for her amassed success in the past year as a solo recording artist after proving herself as one of the biggest songwriters in the past few years.
Kylie Minogue's Icon Award is a well-deserved one for the Australian music icon who has been in the industry for decades already. Maren Morris will be awarded with the Visionary Award after trailblazing important conversations in country music in the past year.
English artist Charli XCX will be receiving the Powerhouse Award, an overdue award for someone who has been involved with various successful projects in the past.
Grammy-winning African artist Tems receives the Breakthrough Award along with Puerto Rican artist Young Miko for the Impact Award, and Brazilian singer Luísa Sonza for the Global Force Award.
Actress Tracee Ellis Ross will be hosting the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards, to be held on Mar. 6, 2024, at the YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California, it will stream on Mar. 7, 2024.
