Adele has defended Taylor Swift in the wake of backlash from NFL supporters who condemned the pop star for attending football games in support of her beau Travis Kelce.

Adele, urged these detractors to "get a f***ing life" and proclaimed that the musician enhanced the viewing experience of the events.

When Taylor Swift began dating 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs star Travis in September of last year; the couple became an instantaneous cultural sensation.

Following her debut at a Chiefs game in September, she has since been present on the field for 12 of the team's 18 games this season, attracting considerable media attention.

Reportedly, the NFL has earned £260 million since Taylor Swift began dating Travis as a result of the 'Taylor Swift' effect, with female viewership increasing by 9% and the league recording its highest-ever figures among women.

Travis Kelce is currently in contention to earn his third Super Bowl championship on Sunday in Las Vegas, when his Chiefs face off against the San Francisco 49ers.

Adele Defends Taylor Swift

Saturday night during her most recent performance at her Las Vegas residency, Adele informed the audience about the upcoming game.

She acknowledged that she had changed her mind about rallying for the Chiefs in favor of Taylor after initially rooting for the 49ers to win.

The "Easy On Me" hitmaker said, "I want the 49ers to win but I also want the Chiefs to win. I think I want the Chiefs to win just because Taylor Swift goes for them..."

The singer then said, as the audience erupted in applause, "Get a f***ing life! You all who are complaining about Taylor Swift being at the games!" "That f***ing man is hers!"

She added: "She's actually made it a bit more enjoyable to watch, because like I said I have no idea what's going on."

Supportive fans gushed on social media about the singer's solidarity with her fellow musician, with one user writing, "We LOVE Adele for that, I always knew she was mother/"

While another added: 'Protect Adele at all costs."

A number of individuals exclaimed with enthusiasm that Adele is a role model after this defense of Taylor Swift. "Queen supporting queen' and many excitedly demanded the pair join together to make music, saying: 'now we want a collab," they said.
