Amidst a whirlwind of controversy, Fuerza Regida, the Mexican-American group, has surprised their fans with a Valentine's Day treat - the release of their latest EP, "Dolido Pero No Arrepentido," on February 9th.

The past week has been tumultuous for the band, with lead singer Jesús Ortíz Paz, also known as JOP, facing detainment in Mexico. He and three other musicians from the corridos tumbados genre were apprehended for allegedly attempting to transport marijuana into Mexicali, Baja California. Although they were eventually released, they are still expected to face legal repercussions. Tragically, on Wednesday, another artist signed to Ortiz Paz's Street Mob record label, Chuy Montana, was found shot to death in Tijuana. These events have gripped headlines worldwide.

However, amidst the turmoil, Fuerza Regida had previously announced the upcoming release of their EP. This latest offering marks their first venture into new music since their heavily acclaimed album "Pa Las Baby's y Belikeada" dropped last year, boasting collaborations with renowned artists like Gabito Ballesteros, Marshmello, and Manuel Turizo, among others. Notably, "Dolido Pero No Arrepentido" showcases the band's individual talent, with no guest features.

Just in time for Valentine's Day, the EP offers a glimpse into the romantic side of Fuerza Regida's music. Tracks like "Enchulado" and "Brillarosa" delve into themes of love and devotion, demonstrating Ortiz Paz's versatility as a songwriter while staying true to the band's signature style.
