Taylor Swift is embarking on an unexpected journey in her career, in the wake of her extravagant Super Bowl festivities.

During an electrifying win at the Grammys, the acclaimed pop artist stunned the audience by announcing her upcoming album, "The Tortured Poets Department," which promises to be a captivating addition to her impressive discography.

But in an unexpected turn of events, The Sun recently uncovered that the multi-talented 34-year-old artist has set her sights on a new venture, one that diverges entirely from the realm of music.

Taylor Swift Beyond Music

Taylor Swift wrote a lesser-known novel when she was only 14 years old.

It is titled "A Girl Named Girl."

While there is limited information about the book, the 13-time Grammy award-winning star has briefly mentioned it in past interviews, mentioning that her parents, Andrea and Scott, securely hold the manuscript.

During a typical summer break in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, Taylor previously found herself confined to her home.

The recent discovery of a stranded shark at the dock of their waterfront home had instilled fear, making her hesitant to venture outside.

This setting served as the backdrop for a heartfelt tale she had previously shared - one that revolved around a mother's desire for a son but ultimately giving birth to a daughter.

The Inspiration Behind The Book

The "You Belong With Me" hitmaker told Vogue in 2012: "We lived on this basin where all this magical stuff would happen."

"One time, a dolphin swam into our basin. We had this family of otters that would live on our dock at night. We'd turn the light on, and you'd see them, you know, hanging out, just being otters."

The unexpected happening that summer occurred when a shark found its way onto their dock. Determined to avoid any potential danger, the then-14-year-old chose to spent her time differently that season.

"Instead of plunging into the water like previous summers, I sought solace within the confines of the den, where I decided to embark on a literary journey."

Music First For Taylor

But Taylor Swift's journey as a novelist took an unexpected turn when she stumbled upon the enchanting world of music.

Despite the book being estimated to span between 350 and 400 pages, her newfound passion sidetracked her plans.

In October 2014, she reportedly found herself addressing a group of children from Scholastic, fervently advocating the significance of reading and writing.

"But since then, I've discovered music, and that's the form of writing that inspires me the most. It's not to say that I wouldn't expand the mediums and the ways that I choose to write," a 22-year-old Taylor Swift said during that time.

She even said to imagine the possibilities she created a script or wrote a book. The "Anti-Hero" hitmaker revealed the thought gave her awe and excitement.

"To witness such a creation come to life would be incredible."

The submission of the trademark application for "A Girl Named Girl" to the US Patent and Trademark Office marks the third attempt by Taylor Swift's team in the past few years.

Previous endeavors were either abandoned or postponed, which has sparked speculation regarding the singer-songwriter's commitment to publishing her novel or producing additional written works.

Taylor also took a step towards recognition by seeking trademark==0-0-p protection for two phrases close to her heart: "The Tortured Poets Department" and its abbreviation "TTPD".

These trademarks were submitted for the categories of merchandise, including clothing and jewelry, solidifying her vision for her brand.
