After shocking Michael Jackson fans with his likeness to his uncle, Jaafar Jackson has gotten into serious work.

On Saturday in Los Angeles, Jaafar Jackson played the role of his late uncle Michael Jackson during a sequence for the upcoming movie Michael.

Jaafar Jackson on Set of Michael Jackson Biopic

The rising singer, 27, was spotted on set getting into character while surrounded by crew members.

In this amazing new photo from the movie, he looked just like the King of Pop - he looks like just his ghost! Some fans even expressed Michael's reincarnated in Jaafar's body. Not that the timeline would support this idea.

He wore a crimson varsity jacket, resembling the outerwear that the Thriller hitmaker had worn on stage and on record.

Jaafar was photographed outside Tower Records in front of a big backdrop that was Michael Jackson's Off The Wall album cover from 1979.

"Rock With You" and "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" were two of the album's popular tracks. It was released at the time by Epic Records.

Michael Jackson's nephew was spotted getting ready to film a scene in front of the album cover and once grinned broadly while chatting with some of the crew.

Nephew Got the Talent of Michael Jackson No Doubt

With the end of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, production on the biography is now underway. Jaafar demonstrated his flawless dancing abilities in November of last year while practicing on the project's set.

The actor was dressed in a simple white shirt and black pants with a gold stripe running down the sides. He added dimension to the ensemble by wearing an unfastened button-up.

The ensemble bore resemblance to what the hitmaker from Smooth Criminal had worn on stage during performances of singles like "Man In The Mirror."

Additionally, on Thursday of this week, Jaafar and his co-star Nia Long-who was chosen to play Michael Jackson's mother Katherine Jackson-were spotted filming what looked to be a funeral scene.

Additional cast members for the much awaited film include Miles Teller, who will portray attorney John Branca, and Colman Domingo, who will play singer Joe Jackson's father.

The biopic's plot will center on Jackson's whole life, including his ascent to stardom with The Jackson Five and any scandals he may have encountered, such as claims of child sexual abuse in the 1990s.

The celebrity died in Los Angeles at the age of 50 from cardiac arrest brought on by an unintentional prescription drug overdose.

According to Deadline, Jaafar was thrilled to share on social media when it was first announced that he had been cast for the lead part of Michael in the biopic in January of last year.

He posted a black-and-white photo of himself dancing in a studio while dressed in an attire reminiscent of one that Michael Jackson had once worn. I feel privileged and humbled to tell my Uncle Michael's tale.
