Despite the controversy surrounding his comeback album, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign's collaborative album, "Vultures 1," managed to block Usher's "Coming Home" on the Billboard 200 No. 1 spot this week.

Usher's "Coming Home" came on the same week as he performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show along with Alicia Keys, Ludacris, and Lil Jon.

Meanwhile, Kanye West has been involved in several copyright issues about the many samples he integrated into his new album.

Kanye West, Ty Dolla Sign 'Vultures' Billboard 200

According to Luminate, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign's "Vultures 1" launched on the Billboard 200 albums chart with 148,000 album equivalent units.

Despite being removed from Apple Music swiftly over the past few days, streaming powered the movement of "Vultures 1" with 129,000 units or 167.78 million official streams of the album. Album sales are meager with 18,000 while track units are only 1,000.

The project featured collaborations with Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, and Chris Brown, although they weren't included on the said tracklist. North also lent vocals for her father's song "Talking."

Currently, Kanye West ties with Bruce Springsteen and Barbra Streisand as the artists with the most No. 1 albums with 11 each. They are the fourth overall with the most No. 1s. Kanye is in the shadow of Taylor Swift and Drake, who both have 13 No. 1 albums, Jay-Z with 14, and The Beatles with 19.

West has been accused of using samples despite the original artists' refusal or consent to use them. Donna Summer's estate has cracked West down for using the 1977 single "I Feel Love," while Ozzy Osbourne threatened to sue him for using "Iron Man" illegally.

Usher 'Coming Home' Billboard 200

Billboard noted that Usher achieved his first highest-charting album in a decade. "Coming Home" fell short with only 91,000 album-equivalent units, powered by 53,000 physical album sales.

After the flurry of streaming gain added to his old music that he sang during the Super Bowl, Usher's "Coming Home" totaled 34,500 album units, or 45.82 million streams, while track units comprised 3,500.

Meanwhile, Noah Kahan's "Stick Season" returned to its peak, No. 3 on the Billboard 200, followed by former No. 1s, including Morgan Wallen's "One Thing at a Time," SZA's "SOS," Taylor Swift's "1989 (Taylor's Version)," Swift's "Lover," Swift's "Midnights," Toby Keith's "35 Biggest Hits" and Drake's "For All the Dogs."
