According to a new report, Katy Perry decided to quit "American Idol" to focus on something with her career, such as releasing a new album and going on a worldwide tour.
A source revealed that the mom-of-one is planning to take a break from the show to concentrate on traveling and promoting her latest music projects.
Despite quitting "American Idol", a long-time hairstylist of the show hinted at the possibility of Katy returning to judging panel at some point.

In a revelation to The Sun, Dean Banowetz hinted at possible replacements for Katy Perry in 2025, indicating that ABC is already considering Miley Cyrus and Pink for the role.
Dean revealed that the dynamic the former Disney channel star is set to revolutionize "American Idol."
Dean, who has been with the show since its start, is also part of other popular TV programs such as "So You Think You Can Dance," "Dancing with The Stars," and "America's Got Talent."
The expert emphasized that despite seven seasons of dedication to the show, Katy Perry "needs to fulfill her career dreams."

In response to questions about the possibility of ABC executives finding a replacement for Katy, Dean answered, "She's never going to be replaced first and foremost, but I feel like there's a lot of fun, creative artists."
"I mean, Pink would be amazing. Miley of course would be awesome. And Miley's part of the ABC Disney family too, so I wouldn't be surprised. It's kind of an open game. I'm all for it. Bring it on. Change is good."
Dean further observed that despite the significant role of the judges in "American Idol", he believes that the success of the ABC show can be attributed to the annual introduction of a vibrant new pool of talent.
