Every year on the third week of April and Black Friday in November, stores mark Record Store Day and welcome several artists and recordings to their catalogs.
Despite the industry having online streaming platforms for music, some fans still opt to have physical recordings of their favorite artists' albums, and Record Store Day makes it possible for them to obtain the records they want.
Record Store Day 2024 Releases: Albums, Songs and Genres
Ahead of Record Store Day 2024, its website unveiled a complete list of special releases that fans can look forward to seeing and purchasing.
"Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding nearly 1400 independently-owned record stores in the US and thousands of similar stores internationally," the website read.

Are Pre-Orders Allowed in Record Store Day 2024?
While Record Store Day has many recordings to offer, the record store reportedly does not sell the releases online because there is no website where they can be pre-ordered.
Instead, music enthusiasts can opt to use the Participating Store Search on the website to find a store near them or contact the stores directly to learn more about their offers.
The list has three categories: exclusives, RSD first and small run/regional titles.

Prices differ on each release and may vary per store. Prices can be checked directly to the stores.
Will Taylor Swift Release Something for Record Store Day 2024?
Taylor Swift previously released "Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions" for Record Store Day 2023, but she has yet to share a new record for this year's Record Store Day.
