Fans were looking forward to seeing Justin Timberlake perform in London on February 23, 2024, but unfortunately, he had to cancel the show at the last minute for the sake of his well-being; what happened to the singer?

According to Billboard, the musician was scheduled to perform at a one-off show at the Roundhouse in Camden, London, but he had no choice but to cancel the show due to his illness.

The singer took to his official Instagram account to announce the devastating news, and based on his voice, he was struggling with something.

"Hi everybody," he began with a hoarse voice. "This is an unfortunate video to have to send out, but I'm sure you can tell from the sound of things that I am not going to be able to make it to the show on Friday, which I'm gutted about," he added.

The NSYNC member said he was "so excited" to perform at the iconic venue and his fans, but he had to cancel the music event.

He further noted that he's been "battling some kind of bug" and he initially thought he was already recovering, but his condition "took a turn for the worse."

Timberlake initially assured his fans that he would perform because he was able to appear on Graham Norton's television program as a guest celebrity, but when he woke up on Friday morning, he felt "worse than ever."

Now, the singer promised his fans that he hopes to make it up to those who already bought tickets and "rock the Roundhouse," but for now, he feels terrible.

"I hope none of you get this flu," he added.

Justin Timberlake continues to give his fans a taste of what his next album would sound like as he released the second single titled "Drown" off of his upcoming record.

According to the outlet, the song was co-written and co-produced by Louis Bell, Kenyon Dixon, Cirkut, Amy Allen, and the singer himself.

In other updates about the musician, Timberlake will go on a massive North American arena tour which will begin at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C., this coming April 29, 2024.
