Before Taylor Swift, he chose to marry Katy Perry.

A throwback video featuring Travis Kelce participating in a "Kiss, Marry, Kill" game has made headlines again.

Interestingly, in this old clip, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end did not choose Taylor Swift as his ideal wife in a hypothetical scenario.

Taylor Swift's Heartbreak

Long before Taylor Kelce was seen traveling the globe to show his support for Taylor Swift during her "Eras" tour in Sydney, Australia, the athlete found himself faced with a decision between his potential future partner, Katy Perry, and Ariana Grande in a version of the game that involves selecting someone to marry, kiss, or kill.

During his conversation with AfterBuzz TV in 2016, the bachelor was in the spotlight for his reality dating show, "Catching Kelce."

Amid chatter about his romantic affairs, Travis was invited to partake in a playful game for entertainment.

Reflecting deeply, he pondered his options thoughtfully.

"Damn, that's messed up, I don't want to kill any of them," Travis said, but the host encouraged, "It's just a game!"

Ultimately, Travis reluctantly confessed that he would "kill" Ariana, emphasizing his admiration for her. This left Travis deliberating between previous frenemies Taylor and Katy for the roles of his ideal partner and casual romantic interest.

"Taylor Swift would be the kiss," the footballer said.

Then he confidently declared, "Katy Perry is the one," while supporting the "Thinking Of You" singer.

Fortunately for Travis, little did he know he would eventually find himself in a romance with the "Shake It Off" singer.

Revisiting Taylor Swift and Katy Perry's 'Feud'

With Taylor Swift and Katy Perry putting their differences aside, they have moved past their feud and are now on good terms.

More than ten years ago, the feud between the two pop stars ignited when the "American Idol" judge attempted to recruit dancers from Taylor's team to disrupt an entire tour schedule.

The feud between these two music icons was widely recognized, leading the 34-year-old "Anti-Hero" singer to immortalize their rift through her chart-topping 2015 track, "Bad Blood."

It has been nearly a decade since the disagreement between Taylor and Katy, but now they have reconciled.

Recently, the "Hot n Cold" hitmaker surprised fans by sharing a video on her social media accounts where she can be seen cheering on Taylor during one of her live performances in Australia.

Moreover, she happily danced along to one of Taylor's iconic tracks from the "1989" album.

During the performance, Katy turned the camera towards herself while belting out the lyrics to "Bad Blood."

The duo event went a step further by posting pictures of each other on their Instagram accounts post-concert, affirming the resolution of their feud.
