Some of Reggae music's royalty and rising stars are headed to the Reggae Rise Up Florida.

According to reports, the highly anticipated music festival will be held in St. Petersburg, Florida; it will kick off on Mar. 14 and wrap up on Mar. 17.

Each day of the festival will also boast a different set of star-studded performers including reggae legend Bob Marley's sons, Stephen Marley and Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley; as well as Burning Spear, Rebelution, SOJA, Slightly Stoopid, and Iration.

Reggae fans will experience a music festival like no other as several rising acts and fan favorites will be gracing the Reggae Rise Up Florida stage: Mile Love, Collie Buds, Protoje, Steen Pulse, Surfer Girl, Fortunate Youth, Ballyhoo!, Rawyana, The Expendables, The Original Wailers, The Kaleidoscope Kid, Little Stranger, The Green, Artikal Sound System, and more.

According to the Reggae Rise Up Florida website, the music festival doors will open at 4 p.m., and it is open for all ages.

Reggae Rise Up Florida's Headliners

Fans are eagerly anticipating performances from Jr. Gong and Marley, who are both highly accomplished musicians in their own right.

Jr. Gong rose to prominence following the release of his debut album, "Mr. Marley," which was co-produced by Marley.

It was not until his third studio album, "Welcome to Jamrock," did the musician had major mainstream success.

The album spawned the single and title track "Welcome to Jamrock," which landed on No. 55 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and No. 13 on the UK Singles Chart.

On the other hand, Marley is an eight-time Grammy Award winner and the older brother of Jr. Gong.

He was seven years old when he began his music career alongside his siblings, Ziggy, Sharon, and Cedella. They were a child band called Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers.

Aside from releasing his own music, Marley is also a producer for several different Reggae artists.

Reggae Music Coming Up

With the prominence of Reggae as a music genre and its influence on other genres of music, there are a lot of Reggae music festivals happening in the United States.

According to reports, aside from Reggae Rise Up Florida, there is also the 13th Annual Spring Break Reggae Fest in Ponce Inlet, the 8th Annual Os Fest and Reggae Block Part in Sarasota, and The Art of Reggae Music Festival in Miramar.
