Adam Lambert teamed up with funk legend/superproducer Nile Rodgers at his All For The East End fundraiser last night (August 19). The duo performed a string of Lambert's own songs but the definite highlight was Lambert and Rodgers destroying a cover of David Bowie's "Let's Dance."

"Adam is going to do a song I did with a great friend of mine named David Bowie," Rodgers told the crowd. "In this situation, it's not a suggestion, it's a command."

Listen to Rodgers and Lambert cover the Bowie classic (which, like all of your favorite '80s songs, was produced by Rodgers) below:

Is it amazing to anyone else that, despite any typical mainstream success, Lambert has managed to be so succesful? He performs with Queen, for chrissakes, and will appear on an upcoming episode of Glee alongside Demi Lovato.

Anyway, a new song was revealed that featured the suddenly resurgent Rodgers. The track, an Avicii tune called "Lay Me Down," also features Lambert. Check it out below:

"Lay Me Down" will appear on Avicii's new album #TRUE.
