Jamie Foxx vowed to reveal further details about his near-death experience due to an undisclosed health issue.

The "Fall For Your Type" singer, 56, marked his appearance at the African American Film Critics Association Awards in Los Angeles, Calif., on Sunday, March 3. He accepted the Producers Award and delivered an emotional and funny speech.

Jamie Foxx Reflects on His Health Scare

Foxx expressed his gratitude after facing a mysterious health issue in 2023 and reminded everyone to "cherish life" as he had already experienced a dire situation.

The "Real in Rio" crooner also joked about his newfound love for water, causing his daughter to think he was too thankful these past few days.

He soon addressed the talks about his secretive health scare and the lack of information since his hospitalization.

"I'm going to tell you what happened. But I gotta tell you in my own way," he said, telling fans he would speak about it through his "stand-up routes" instead of issuing a public statement or appearing in an interview.

Jamie Foxx Faces Rumors About His Health

In December, Foxx shared more information about his health scare when he received the Vanguard Award for his performance in "The Burial" at the Critics Choice Association's Celebration of Cinema & Television: Honoring Black, Latino, and AAPI Achievements in Los Angeles, Calif.

"I want to thank everybody. I've been through something. I've been through some things," he said. "It's crazy, I couldn't do that six months ago. I couldn't actually walk too... I wouldn't wish what I went through on my worst enemy, because it's tough when you almost... When it's almost over, when you see the tunnel."

Several rumors emerged due to a lack of details and updates from Foxx, his family, and representatives. Among the talks included people suggesting he had cancer, stroke, or traumatic injury as he was spotted at a top physical medicine and rehabilitation center in Chicago following his discharge.

A report claiming that Foxx's family was reportedly "preparing for the worst" also made rounds. Still, Foxx's daughter Corrine debunked the Daily Loud post by uploading a screenshot of the article alongside the caption: "Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild."
