Bad Bunny is suing one of his fans.

The "I Like It" rapper filed a lawsuit against a fan, Eric Guillermo Madronal Garrone, for sharing unauthorized videos of one of his concerts online, as reported by TMZ.

Kendall Jenner's former boyfriend seeking legal action against Garrone for posting extensive clips from his February 21 performance in Salt Lake City.

Bad Bunny Lawsuit Against YouTuber

Accusations have been leveled against Garrone for posting videos of various performances, such as full shows by Bad Bunny, on his YouTube channel known as MADforliveMUSIC.

In the lawsuit, Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Martínez Ocasio, requests a court order to prevent Garrone from distributing the videos online.

Moreover, the 29-year-old Puerto Rican is seeking either $150,000 for every video uploaded or compensation for any proven damages from the online postings.

In the legal document submitted, he firmly asserts his ownership of the musical compositions featured in the performances and underscores that he did not authorize Garrone to use them in any way.

Garrone's unauthorized actions have resulted in a redirection of views, impacting ad revenue generated on Bad Bunny's YouTube channel and leading to financial losses.

Before proceeding with their legal action, the rapper lodged a formal grievance with YouTube, leading to a temporary removal of the videos. Nonetheless, the content was reinstated following Garrone's appeal submission.

The potential outcome of the disagreement is undoubtedly intriguing, given that posting concert videos online by attending fans has become a common practice that can be seen as a form of promotion for the event.

As the trend of artists turning their concerts into films continues to grow, many are discovering new ways to capitalize on their live performances. This has led to challenges and frustrations arising from the unrestricted availability of concert footage on the Internet.
