Spice Girls star Geri Halliwell has remained silent despite all the noise surrounding her about her husband, Christian Horner's alleged affair and his attempts at winning her back and clearing his name.

According to the Daily Mail UK, the Red Bull team principal paid tribute to the singer on Mother's Day via Instagram: "Happy Mother's Day-We're so appreciative of the mums in our family for everything they do. We're always grateful, today and every day."

The picture was of Halliwell and their seven-year-old son, Monty, and a picture of his mother, Sara.

However, the post was met with criticism and backlash; netizens called out the Formula One team lead for "digging a deeper hole" for himself.

Geri Halliwell, Christian Horner's Relationship Deep-Dive

Halliwell and Horner have been together for decades; the couple first met in 2009 at the Monaco Grand Prix.

It was not until 2014 that they started dating and eventually tied the knot the following year.

"Life works in mysterious ways. I didn't marry Geri because she's a Spice Girl. I married her because I fell in love with her," the F1 manager said in an interview. "It will be 10 years this time next year, and we've been happily married for seven."

Halliwell and Horner married on May 15 in Bedfordshire, England; their wedding boasted a star-studded guestlist, including Jackie Stewart, Jennifer Saunders, David Coulthard, and more.

Halliwell's old Spice Girls bandmates, Victoria Beckham and Melanie Brown, were not present.

However, the singer-slash-designer took to social media to congratulate Halliwell: "Sending u love and happiness. I'm so sad I couldn't be with you on your special day x I love u x [sic]."
