Before contacting Taylor Swift in 2023, tight end Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs is said to have attempted a relationship with another famous person. But he was turned down so he set his sights on Swift instead.
Before he started dating Swift, the legendary tight end reportedly made contact with another well-known artist.
Almost Travis Kelce, Megan Thee Stallion?
According to InTouch Weekly, Kelce made contact with rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
"Travis reached out to Megan Thee Stallion to try his luck with her," according to the report, which claims that Kelce and Stallion had their first interaction at an awards show.
"It seems like once he became more famous and well known, he was trying to hook up with bigger celebrities."
But the story claims that Stallion turned him down.
It's not clear when this supposed courting happened though, because the rapper is now very much taken.
In a February 2021 Instagram Live, Megan Thee Stallion revealed that she was dating rapper Pardison "Pardi" Fontaine. A few months after formally announcing their relationship, the two made their red carpet debut together on May 27 at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Naturally, everything turned out well for Kelce because he is currently dating Swift. If the allegations are true, he also got what he wished for by dating Swift, because his name positively imploded.

Swifties have even launched a humorous trend on TikTok where they inform their male partners that Swift placed Kelce "on the map."
Taylor Swift is the One
Fans are adoring the odd pairing.
Swift, along with her well-known pals Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, descended at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey during one of those moments, sparking an incredible pop-culture storm - and the rest is history.
Since then, reports of them being the most powerful couple today emerged, followed by allegations that this is the relationship that will finally work for Taylor Swift.
According to TMZ, this is because Kelce is unlike any guy Swift dated.
Travis defies convention. Not only is he in a different industry, he is also a good one at his league. He isn't attempting to outdo Taylor or contrast her achievements with his. He's comfortable, he's mastered his craft, and in Skip Bayless' words. They have a star-level understanding of one another.
In fact, Swifties are manning all their movements.
Every "mistake" on Kelce's part is considered a red flag, and every PDA and lyric change by Swift is considered a sign that she's finally found her match.
