Bon Jovi's career trajectory, history, and behind-the-scenes footage will be featured in a new documentary titled Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story. Frontman Jon Bon Jovi recently shared what to expect on the upcoming project.

According to Blabbermouth, the musician sat down in an interview with Terrie Carr on 105.5 WDHA to share details about the group's first-ever docuseries, which will tackle the entirety of their career. The project features not only the vocalist himself but also all the past (Alec John Such, Dave Sabo, Richie Sambora) and present (David Bryan, Tico Torres, Phil X, Hugh McDonald) members of the group.

In the interview, Jon Bon Jovi said the creative direction of the docuseries was not in his control, and it was part of the deal that the group cut with the director, Gotham Chopra.

"He was in absolute control, and I relinquished it," Jon Bon Jovi said. "I liked his work. I liked who he worked with and I knew what his family background was." (Gotham Chopra's father is author and alternative medicine advocate Deepak Chopra.)

Bon Jovi to Tackle Their Truths on New Docuseries

Later on, Jon Bon Jovi noted that he didn't want a documentary similar to their 2000 VH1 episode of Behind The Music, which is why this upcoming show will tackle their "truths."

When asked if the project made him tear up, the singer admitted that there were "absolutely emotional moments" throughout the show, and he could witness it with his bandmates when they were rehearsing.

"Everybody just felt good about the way it was going. And then I showed Richie [Sambora] three of the four episodes in late August. And then I haven't seen anything since. So now it's done, but it's out of my hands. I don't really know anything," he added.
