Shakira is finally setting the record straight about the incredulous story that led her to find out about Gerard Pique's alleged affair with Clara Chia Marti 2022.
According to Page Six, the "Hips Don't Lie" hitmaker debunked the longstanding story about her getting suspicious over a jar of jam in her refrigerator. She says it is "not true."
The story came back to light following the music video's release for Shakira's collab song with Rauw Alejandro, "Te Felicito."
In the music video, the Colombian singer was looking in her fridge, and at one point, she was inside the fridge, alongside the candies, ice cream, and other food.
Fans thought it might be a dig at how she caught her soccer player ex allegedly cheating on her.
Shakira Moves On from Gerard Pique
Shakira and Pique announced their breakup in June 2022, but asked for privacy for the sake of their two sons, Milan and Sasha.
As per HuffPost, it was not long after that Pique was spotted going out on dates with a 23-year-old model.
However, since then, the "She Wolf" singer has also moved on; she released her chart-topping hit with Argentine DJ Bizarrap, "Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53."
She is also gearing up to release her highly anticipated album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, which translates to Women No Longer Cry.

Shakira Dropping New Album
In the profile, originally published in The Times, Shakira reflected on her divorce and custody battle, which led to a breakthrough in her music career after she had put it "on hold" for her family for years.
"There were so many pieces of my life that crumbled in front of my eyes and I had to rebuild myself in a way, picking up the bones from the floor and putting them all together," she said. "And the glue that kept it all together was music."
When asked how her sons felt about her making music about their father, she said, "They know that there's only one way to live life, and it's accepting the pain. And each one of us has different ways of doing that.
"I felt that there was still something there, stuck in my throat. I needed to get it out."
