It's no secret that Justin Timberlake has been battling to restore his reputation since the release of Britney Spears' memoir.

His new album was said to be one of his staunch efforts to erase the negative things people have said about him.

However, it appears to have failed not only in achieving the objective but also in performing well in the charts.

Justin Timberlake's 6th Album Flopped and Worst of His Career

According to Forbes, Justin Timberlake's solo music career has not been going well recently.

Before the album was released, the artist released two singles from his most recent endeavor, Everything I Thought It Was, but neither became a huge hit.

Now that the full-length is beginning to show up on charts worldwide, critics have been saying the album is already proving to be disappointing for someone of his caliber.

The album debuts at number 23 on the list of the nation's most-listened-to full-lengths. It's hardly impressive that Timberlake made his debut outside of the top 20.

It makes the album by far the least successful of his career.

According to TheThings, Timberlake failed because he was keen to portray himself in a way that fans could not fathom-as a sensitive, family-man.

It can be recalled that Britney Spears opened up about her relationship with the former member of NSYNC, which subsequently changed people's perceptions of him.

Justin Timberlake's Narrative Fails To Convince

According to Pitchfork, his new album is another effort to repair the harm the Britney Spears incident did to his reputation but did not leave the mark it was supposed to do.

Their assessment stated that Timberlake's sixth album was an attempt to repair the damage done to his public image following the release of his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears' memoir, but it was a disastrous failure.

This is undoubtedly terrible news for Justin Timberlake, who must have been undeniably concerned about this issue before the release of his most recent album.

Sources claimed he was upset and concerned that his recent controversy involving Britney Spears would overshadow his new album. His fears turned out to have a basis.

According to LA Times, the 43-year-old singer and former boy band star laments his isolation and sacrifices made for his career, over a bleak, slow-mo trap beat.

It's an interesting decision given the criticism that Timberlake has faced in recent years for being a man who, for too long, was allowed to get away with problems that hurt the women in his life, including his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears and his former Super Bowl halftime partner Janet Jackson.
