KISS frontman Gene Simmons is certainly no stranger to reality television; the musician's reality TV series Gene Simmons Family Jewels lasted six years on A&E and earned itself a large group of fans as well as more fame for his entire family. Well, now it appears the businessman is gearing up to pitch yet another show at this year's MIPCOM.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that Coliseum is a rock competition that will have its contestants form bands with Simmons acting as the motivator before they take to the stage to perform in front of an audience. Following their performance, the musician will then act as a sort of "Rock Caesar" to decide if the group lives or dies – metaphorically, of course – with the aid of a thumbs up or thumbs down.

In a statement, Simmons said, "Coliseum is a no-holds-barred competition show between musical gladiators in the arena fighting to survive, fighting to be the champion, fighting to curry the favor of Rock Caesar."

The show will be created by both Simmons and Chris Philip, CEO of Sierra/Engine Television.

Aside from Family Jewels, the KISS bassist also participated in VH1's Gene Simmons' Rock School and the new series 4th and Loud, which is both his and KISS member Paul Stanley's reality show on AMC.

Given his past in the reality TV biz, there's no doubt that we'll bee seeing a pilot for Coliseum (if not, more episodes) very soon.

So, will you watch?
