Singer Raye claims that working as a woman in the industry is terrible and that she has experienced harassment because of her appearance.

Allegedly, online trolls constantly attack the 26-year-old, saying she doesn't have a feminine appearance.

Despite her massive win recently at the Brit Awards - which is described as "historic," she was still ridiculed so much that she decided to start therapy.

Raye Needed Therapy After Trolling Experience

"Being a woman in this thing, you're critiqued on your appearance alone, and it's sh*t*. People talk about my weight, people have been saying I don't look like a woman; really nasty comments that go round and round in your head," she shared.

Her album My 21st Century Blues, which she put her all into, won her a record-breaking six Brit Awards in a single year, including best artist, last month.

She covered subjects like drug misuse and sexual assault in her therapy.

She found it quite helpful because she shared also that when the time comes that she will enter the dating scene once, she plans to get additional therapy.

She stated, "I don't want to go into this next chapter feeling insecure."

When her former record label delayed the release of her album, Raye overcome a setback in her career and was encouraged to write songs for other artists.

She told ELLE magazine, "I was putting out music I hated, working stupidly hard, dealing with trauma and making a lot of bad decisions. Add substance abuse... it was a messy time."

"Twisted and horrible as it was, I wouldn't be in this position now," she added.

Raye's Contribution to "Cowboy Carter"

Raye, who appeared in white underwear, a lace dress that matched, and platform heels, acknowledges that her struggles ultimately put her on the way to success.

Recently, she happily revealed that she has also written songs for Beyonce's latest celebrated album, "Cowboy Carter."

Posting a clip of herself singing along to the track, RAYE wrote: "happy COWBOY CARTER day. What an honour it is to being able to contribute my small piece to this beautiful album, and to THE @beyonce who continues to inspire all of us. Track 23 : RIIVERDANCE , co - written by me found my beat up cowboy hat i bought on my 21st birthday for this special occasion."
