The Roots will embark on a tour this year, featuring two supporting acts Digable Planets and Arrested Development. The tour is billed as the Hip-Hop Is The Love of My Life Tour.
The Roots, which consists of Black Thought, Questlove, Kamal Gray, Captain Kirk Douglas, Tuba Gooding Jr., Ray Angry, James Pyser, Stro Elliot, Mark Kelley, Ian Henrickson-Smith, Jeremy Ellis, and Dave Guy, will kick off the tour at the Mountain Winery Concert Series in Saratoga, Calif., on May 11.
The band will also play festival dates such as their Roots Picnic, Reggae Rise Up Maryland, Wonderfront Festival, and many more. More information about tickets is available on their official website.
The Roots Picnic
The Roots will host their annual Roots Picnic at the Mann in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia on June 1 and 2. Headliners include André 3000, Lil Wayne, and Jill Scott.

Other performers include Nas, Sexxy Red, Victoria Monét, Tytla, Babyface, Smino, Adam Blackstone featuring Fantasia and Muni Long, Wale, Cam'ron, Robert Glasper, and many more.
